Be part of us, we are looking for a Physician Support Specialist  to work with an accredited medical supply company that provides diabetes supplies and helps patients with insurance, shipping and more.

WHAT THE PHYSICIAN SUPPORT SPECIALIST DOES ON A DAY TO DAY BASIS:

  • Communicate with doctor’s offices by phone, fax, email and/or mail correspondences to pursue prescription orders and/or required medical records to ship a patient order
  • Provides excellent customer service while communicating with provider offices and teammates
  • High Call Volume per day (approximately 65-100 inbound and outbound calls combined per day)
  • Consistently obtain a high percentage of valid prescription orders based on the number of quality outbound calls attempted
  • Consistently manages a high percentage of valid prescription orders based on the quantity of quality outbound calls attempted
  • Promptly responds to provider inquiries and performs follow up calls with high level of urgency
  • Maintains accurate and detailed records in company database
  • Review documents retrieved from inbound faxes to determine validity; scan documents efficiently and accurately (estimated 100 documents per day)
  • Adapts quickly to process changes and improvements
  • Is reliable, engaged, and provides feedback as to improve processes and policies
  • Attends all department, team, and weekly company meetings as required
  • Perform any additional responsibilities or special projects as required

PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE IN PHYSICIAN SUPPORT SPECIALIST:

  • High School diploma or GED required
  • 1-2-year(s) work experience in a customer service call center preferred
  • Excellent Customer service skills, including phone and inter personal skills
  • Computer proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook preferred
  • Typing accuracy of 35 wpm minimum
  • Database data entry experience preferred.
  • Clear diction and knowledge of the English language, both written and verbal
  • Work history of excellent attendance and punctuality
  • High comfort level working with culturally diverse team members and clients
  • Solid mathematical skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
  • Knowledge of medical terminology preferred; knowledge of orthotics and diabetes a plus
  • Some experience with medical insurance and/or DME a plus
